Comment Adverbs, Viewpoint Adverbs, Focus Adverbs

Indicate who likely something it is, example:
Apparently, certainly, clearly, definitely, in theory, obviously, presumaly, probably, undoubtedly.
Para indicar lo probable que es algo, por ejemplo:
Aparentemente, ciertamente, claramente, definitivamente, en teoría, obviamente, se supone, probablemente, y indudablemente.


COMMENTS ADVERBS

Indicate our attitude to or opinion of what is said, example:
Indicar nuestra actitud u opinión  de algo que esta dicho, por ejemplo:
Astonishingly, frankly, generally, honestly, to be honest, interestingly (enough), luckily, naturally, in my opinion, personally, sadly, seriously, surprisingly, unbelievably.
Sorprendentemente, francamente, en general, honestamente / Verdaderamente, para ser honesto, interesadamente, por suerte, por supuesto / naturalmente, en mi opinión, personalmente, por desgracia, en serio, es sorprendente, increíblemente.


Most common comment adverbs can occur  at the front, middle or end of a sentence:
Los adverbios de comentario pueden ocurrir enfrente, en medio o al final de una frase.

Personally, I´d be surprised if Symons is  guilty.
Personalmente, estaría sorprendido si Symons es culpable.
He led me to a room that had obviously been built later than the rest of the house.
El me dirigió/llevo a una habitación que obviamente  había sido construida más tarde que el resto de la casa.

The book was based on his experience in China, apparently.
El libro estaba basado en su experiencia en China, aparentemente.
 
There are other possible positions for each of the comment adverbs in this examples. To show that they apply to the whole sentence, we usually separate them from the rest of the sentence, particulary in from and end positions, by a comma  in writing or by intonation in speech.
Hay otras posiciones posibles para cada uno de los adverbios de comentario en este ejemplo. Para mostrar que se aplican en toda la frase, normalmente los separamos del resto de ella, particularmente en posiciones como adelante y atrás, por una coma al escribir y por entonación en el habla.

A number of phrases and clauses can be used in a similar way to comment adverbs to indicate our acttitude to, or opinion of, what is said. For example.
Un numero de frases y clausulas pueden ser usadas de una manera similar a los advervios de comentario para indicar nuestra actitud u opinion de algo.... Por ejemplo:

To my disappointment, he didn´t ask me why I was wearing a false nose. (Also To my surprise/astonishment, etc.)
Para mi decepción, no me pregunto por qué estaba llevando una nariz falsa.

To be frank, I don´t think she´s the best person to do the job. (Also To be honest, truthful/fair,etc.)
Para ser franco, no creo que sea ella la mejor persona para hacer el trabajo.
 
Oddly enough, she didn´t mention that she was moving house. (Also curiously/funnily/Strangely enough).
Por estraño que parezca, ella no mencionó que se estaba mudando.
 
To put it simply ( or Putting it simply) we need to spend less. ( Also To put it ( or Putting it) bluntly/briefly/mildly,etc.)
En pocas palabras, (para ponerlo fácil) necesitamos gastar menos.
 
VIEWPOINT ADVERBS.

We use these adverbs to make it clear from what point of view we are speaking: 
Usamos estos adverbios para dejar claro desde que punto de vista estamos hablando. 
Financially, the accident has been a disaster for the owners  of the tunel.
Financieramente, el accidente ha sido un desastre para los dueños del tunel.
 
The bothers maybe alike physically, but they have very different personalities.
Los hermanos son quizas físicamente parecidos pero tienen personalidades muy diferentes.

Other examples include biologically, chemically, environmentally, ideologically, logically, morally, outwardly, politically, technically, visually.
Otros ejemplos son, biológicamente, químicamente, medioambientalmente, ideológicamente, etc...
 
A number of phrases are used in a similar way: morally speaking, in political terms, from a technical point of view, as far as the environment is concerned, etc...
Un numero de frases son usadas de una manera similar: moralmente hablando, en términos politicos, desde un punto de vista técnico, etc...

FOCUS ADVERBS.

Even and Only usually go in mid position, but if they refer to the subject they come before it. Compare:
Incluso y sólo normalmente van en la posición del centro, pero si se refieren al tema van antes de este.
My mother has only brought some food. (= she hasn´t brought anything else) and Only my mother has brought some food. (=my mother and nobody else).
Mi madre solo ha traído algo de comida. (Ella no trajo nada más), y sólo mi madre ha traído  algo de comida. (Mi madre y nadie más):
Even Sue can speak French. ( you might not expect her to) ( not Sue even)
Sue can even speak French. (in addition to eveything she can do)
Incluso Sue puede hablar frances. (podrías no esperar que ella hablará frances), Sue incluso puede hablar Frances. (Además de todo lo que ella puede hablar).
