These are some common expressions that help to modify or organise that we are saying.
Hay algunas expresiones comúnes que ayudan a modificar u organizar lo que estamos diciendo.
As i was saying, I haven´t seen her for years. (Takes the conversation back to an earlier point).
Cómo estaba diciendo, no la he visto hace años. (la conversation vuelve a un punto anterior).
As I/ you say, We´ll have to get there early to get a seat. (repeats and confirms something someone has already said).
Cómo dices, tendremso que llegar pronto para conseguir un asiento. (repite y confirma algo que alguien ya ha dicho.
If you ask me, she´s heading for trouble. (If you want my opinion <<even if no-one has asked for it>>)
Si me prengutas, si me dicen a mí, ella va buscando problemas. (si quieres mi opinión, incluso si nadie lo ha preguntado).
That reminds me, I haven´t rung George yet. (something in the conversation reminds you of something important).
Eso me recuerda, no he llamado a George todavía. (algo en la conversación te recuerda algo importante).
Come to think of it, did he give me his number after all? I think he may have forgotten. (something in the conversation makes you realise there may be a problem/query about something).
Ahora que lo dices, ¿me dió su número despues de todo? Creo que puede haberlo olvidado.
