Phrases Cold Weather
Winter is the coldest season of the year in temperate climates, between autumn and spring. At the winter solstice, the days are shortest and the nights are longest, with days lengthening as the season progresses after the solstice.
El invierno aún no se ha ido y por eso aquí os dejamos frases relacionadas con el invierno:
Close the door, there's a draft / Cierra la puerta, que hay corriente
Espero que tengamos un invierno suave este año. / I hope we have a mild winter this year.
Ha empezado a nevar, pero no está cuajando. / It has begun to snow, but it’s not settling.
Se ha formado hielo en el parabrisas. / The windscreen has iced over.
Nos hemos quedado sin anticongelante. / We’ve run out of de-icer.
Ten cuidado con la capa de hielo (en la carretera). / Beware of the black ice.
¿Has vistos los carámbanos en los aleros? / Have you seen the icicles on the eaves?
Ten cuidado, no te resbales. Los escalones tienen hielo. / Careful you don’t slip. The steps are icy.
Hay un banco de nieve bloqueando la puerta de entrada. / There’s a snowdrift blocking the front door.
